PTSD Treatment with Acupuncture

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder treatment in Cambridge

PTSD can be effectively treated with Acupuncture.  Traditional Acupuncture does not view PTSD as a mental illness but rather as shock that has become stuck inside a person.  Stand Easy a charity based in Norwich have developed a protocol to treat PTSD using a unique  and yet ancient approach.  Unlike Counselling or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy this treatment protocol does not involve asking questions about the trauma you have suffered and we will not delve into your childhood or tell you that you are damaged.  You will not be asked in depth questions about how you experience PTSD nor will there be any psycho-babble and definitely no bullshit. You only talk about it if you want to talk about it. Stand Easy have worked with and have close links with SAFA and Royal British Legion who send them regular referrals.

In your first visit we will get straight to work to help you.  We will simply have a bit of a chat and then you will be asked to lie down and have 20-30 minutes of acupuncture.  After this first treatment you will probably not instantly feel dramatically different but others will  certainly notice immediately that something has changed. This treatment will usually be followed up by weekly sessions.  This first potentially life changing appointment is FREE.  Yes, FREE of charge because we think this treatment is so amazingly life transforming that we want to make sure that you get the treatment you need.

Stand Easy report that without exception everyone has benefited from this treatment if they complete the treatment.  Anxiety will ease, you will feel more able to connect, less foggy, less oppressed, less volatile, public places won't feel so overwhelming and you will begin to feel 'right' again.

Suitable for serving or former armed forces, police, security services, firemen and anyone who has experienced a traumatic shock.

Leah Claydon, the Acupuncturist who will treat you, formerly was Secretary to the Regimental Secretary of the Kings Own Scottish Borderers Association with special responsibility for war widows and spent 8 years working at the Medical Reception Station at ATR Bassingbourn where she was an Podiatrist working with the Army.  Leah is a Member of British Acupuncture Council and holds a Licence in Acupuncture and BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture.

We won't ask you to talk about something unless you genuinely feel better to do so and we don't need to know the details of your trauma to enable us to treat you.

Leah has been trained in this protocal by Naji Malak the founder of Stand Easy - here is a quote from one of Naji's patients that has been treated using this protocol:

"I didn't know that sticking a few pins in you could create such a different person.  After the first session, my mood was lifted.  After the second session, I was a different person.  I just can't believe how a few pins can make all the difference".  Paul, British Army
