  • Qualified 1987 (London) gaining her Diploma in Podiatric Medicine, State Registration and use of Local Analgaesia.
  • 30 years private practice including 8 years for the British Army within a multi-disciplinary team specialising in biomechanics and nail surgery.
  • 2004 she completed a further degree in Podiatry from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.
  • 2004 she emigrated to Cyprus where she set up and ran the High Risk Foot Unit at the main Nicosia state hospital
  • 2009 she was elected to the Board of the Cypriot Society of Podiatrists.
  • She has lectured widely in Cyprus on the Diabetic Foot in English and Turkish
  • 2012 She completed further study at University of Salford and is qualified to acquire and supply Prescription Only Medicines including antibiotics from an approved list and has completed 42 Continual Professional Development courses in a wide range of topics
  • Leah is member of the Royal College of Physicians (Glasgow), Faculty of Podiatric Medicine
  • Leah is a Fellow of the College of Podiatric Medicine
  • Leah has a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Chinese Traditional Medicine and Acupuncture, University of Kingston
  • Leah is fully insured and indemnified. Her special areas of interest are wound and ulcer care, nail surgery and biomechanics but she also enjoys the general everyday foot care caseload as well
  • Leah is also the inventor of bodyblock - a patient positioning device

 

 

Lisa Johnson BSc (Hons) will be joining our team from September on Mondays and Saturdays.

 

  • 2014 Lisa qualified from Plymouth school of podiatry.lisa
  • Has worked for the past year in the NHS podiatry department.
  • Lisa has become particularly interested in musculoskeletal Podiatry and biomechanics and podiatry surgery.
  • Whilst training Lisa has observed Leah at betterNOW healthcare.
  • We have wanted Lisa to work for us since qualifying and we are very pleased to her on board.
