The first consultation takes around 1 ½ hours and gives you the time to tell your health story in detail, giving Clare the information that she needs to formulate a nutritional protocol that is unique for you and tailored to your lifestyle. All appointments are followed up with a Nutrition Report and supporting information, including recipes. The focus is on preparing delicious, vibrant, colourful food that will get your taste buds zinging!

Food comes first in any nutritional plan. Supplements are used at times but for specific, targeted reasons and for a set duration.

Clare works hard to create a relaxed and supportive environment for you, so you can begin to feel in control of your health once more. There is no judgement given on past and current diets and lifestyles, but you will be given plenty of information, grounded in nutrition science, to support your choices going forward.

What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care. Registered Nutritional Therapists use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual’s symptoms and health concerns. This approach allows them to work with individuals to address nutritional balance and help support the body towards maintaining health. Nutritional Therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing.

Practitioners consider each individual to be unique and recommend personalised nutrition and lifestyle programmes rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach. Practitioners never recommend nutritional therapy as a replacement for medical advice and always refer any client with ‘red flag’ signs or symptoms to their medical professional. They will also frequently work alongside a medical professional and will communicate with other healthcare professionals involved in the client’s care to explain any nutritional therapy programme that has been provided. Clare is a member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
